Re-coutour?........

..........I made this child's top/tunic from an old linen skirt embroidered with dots around the bottom which turned out well on the finished piece.......I attached a bow made from a vintage apron......... .............I think I need to work on my photography skills..........

A new chapter........

........I'm full of inspiration and ideas.............Iv'e been in the sewing room (undisturbed!) creating..........and I'm loving it......... .................meanwhile our munchkin (Eva) is experiencing a few firsts.........first ice-cream!.........

................and her first gig............

...............last Saturday we watched Max play three numbers at the annual guitar recital..........he was awesome.............

...........and a new chapter for him too as he leaves primary school and moves on to secondary........

....loving the holidays and looking forward to visits from family and friends......

It's all about me.............

..............for so long now Iv'e been very restless...........at work and at home...........and so I have resigned from my job...........which I love..............but not enough...............I love my home more............so from now on I will be doing more of this: ..........................so will need to make me one of these:

.............I also want hens,ducks,a cat and soon a new friend (dog or dogs!) for all of us...........we are waiting a while for that one though........we want to be sure...........

Had enough now......

..............by last Monday I thought we were just coming to terms with losing our special dog Poppy............only to be called at work by the husband to inform me not to panic but our super biker son Max had been knocked off his bike in the village..........by a car............he thought it was just a sprained ankle!..............an ambulance drive,two hours in casualty,lots of lovely nurses and doctors and what seemed like too long in theatre later we discovered that he has broken his tib and fib just above the ankle..............my husband then decided to drive back home at 3 in the morning and ran over and killed a cat in the process...........we have had enough..............thank god it was just his leg.......it could have been worse...........I don't care that he may be in plaster for upto 9 weeks(Max may not agree)!..................but I just want to be somewhere like this.................
............in-between lying somewhere like this for a long time...............

Poppy...

................last night we lost our dear dog Poppy.........the day started out well.......a day off from work.......busy doing errands as I normally do on a Tuesday.......the weather was wonderful.......we planned a bbq in the garden.......our super friend Mel turned up...........I managed to find the garden table that I have been needing for ages (free)!........Poppy made everyone laugh at the shops by turning the car alarm on and off in the car park whilst she waited for her daddy...........later she managed to beg some chicken from a softy.............we walked in to the village to pick up some wine and on the way back we realised she had managed to escape and follow us..........it happened very suddenly........and she was gone........

.....the best dog in the world......we will so miss her........
