Hilda May: Back...

.....well yes I am back.........it's been a long break since my last post and a long winter too........lots has been happening around here......work,no work,a growing baby,not a lot of crafting but lots of winter soups and broths have been made.......a few sunday lunch get- togethers............lots of fires have been made............but now the weather is warmer........gardens have been dug,seeds have been sown,plants are now growing......the baby Eva continues to thrive..........and I have started crafting again..........

.......I decided that my new camera strap was too boring and like most of my accessories it needed my stamp on it...........so I made me a new one.........

...................I'm now going to make a new case too.........

...........One good thing that has happened is that I have re-connected with my youngest sister Beverley........she's four years younger than me and lives in the north west with her partner Rachel and family of dogs........we lost touch because, well I don't know but it has always been a thought that we would sort it out someday and I'm so glad that we have......it was really strange to hear her on the phone...kinda like going back in time............................

.............there is one thing that I am so excited about that is going to happen in October of this year.......our primary school is going to hold an Art Exhibition..........we are handing out a small canvas to as many local artists and whoever wants to take part to create a piece of art on.....it can be in any medium...paint,pencil,charcoal,ink,water-colour,oils,mud! or even blood!!!! only joking about the blood (I think)!!! and will be signed on the back so that no-one knows who's is who's.........we have managed to get a local auctioneers to run it for us and our local gardens Trevarno Gardens near Helston has agreed to let us use there rooms for free..........how cool is that.......we are so excited.......my friend Vicky has done all of this work so far and we have all been busy enlisting as many artists as possible...........this is in it's very early stages at the moment but we are hoping it's going to be the start of a good fundraiser with a good reputation...........our school already hosts one of the best cross-country events in our part of the county so we are hoping that this could go the same way............more on this to follow................

........................now back to crafting.........our little munchkin Eva is growing all the time and is such a happy baby.....always smiling and giggling........she loves watching faces,she loves watching the dog as she skoots about and she loves looking out of the window.......we already have favourite songs that we sing with her and makes her laugh.....but best of all is when she is looking at her mum........it's wonderful seeing the strong connection/bond that they have.......she is so special.......and I am so proud of her mum Jody on such a good job that she is doing bringing her up on her own.........I don't say it very often...life flies by so quick but I think it's good to acknowlege something that you are thankful for....well done honey............

........so I made the munchkin a pretty gypsy top for the lovely spring weather.........

...............this picture was taken a while back now but is one of my favourites...........another thing to be thankful for is my sister Ruth who is coming down for a visit this summer............something else to look forward to.............
